Especially when the world paste increases?

    Managing Philip Morris Supply Chain in Australia and New Zeeland , not an easy task !End of May I had finally the opportunity to visit our Supply Chain Customer Service team in Australia. Today technologies make easy to connect with remote locations however nothing in my opinion replaces a face-to-face meet.In addition, we also welcomed the NZ OCS team to join, and we all enjoyed the opportunity to share progress, challenges and future plans of continuous improvement.Australian market is one of the most regulated and price sensitive market which as I learn during my field visit (special thanks to Michael Saliba from AU Sales team) drives continuous competition and requires extraordinary agility from the supply chain. The raise in the market of new legally regulated categories “vaping” also keeps asking new distribution channels, once more requiring agility and innovation on our distribution and route to marketConnecting the dots Global – Regional – Market SC strategies require teams to share their understanding of how they contribute to the Supply Chain masterplan and broader business deliverables in addition of course to the market objectives. The team presenting how local initiatives contribute to the overall SC Masterplan specially on agility with initiatives such as WH Pick and Pack Automatization an unique distribution system for our industry as well as initiatives on non-excise WH both of them key on providing agility to the market at optimized cost.Finally, it is fair to say though that it is not all business with Supply Chain OCS, to bring the human element to the visit and ensure we really could connect on a personal note we all took a trip to the old Philip Morris manufacturing site and enjoyed a tour of the building following by a few laughs as we challenged each other with one round of ten pin bowling. What a fabulous experience to come together as one team, reminiscing on the past and connecting as one to prepare for the future, a highlight of 2023.Thanks to Sara and the team for the hospitality, the excellent sharing of initiatives and the results of a very well done job ! Ah as usual on the Australian presentation I was remainder that Australia is a big as whole Europe ….#innovation #supplychain

    WAREHOUSE INEFFICIENCIES 📣👎What happens when you plug a sales person into a production line? Not a huge amount of productivity in the case of Joe Cooper! But look at that smile on his face. Not sure the rest of the team were quite so happy with the small backlog he was creating though.This was a great live example of how a very small change can cause a significant impact to your total output 📉. We had a tour of the Europa Worldwide Group Corby warehouse yesterday with Warehouse Operations Manager Andy Kay, and it's clear to see how small improvements that are made on a daily basis can have a much larger impact on the output levels for our customers 📈. As a 3PL, this constant search for efficiency is critical to building strong and lasting relationships with our customers.If you're managing your own warehouse currently, are you looking at any potential bottle necks that could cause inefficiencies?
